several weeks ago i got together with some girlfriends for a crafting night. i made these little gems, and i smile every time i see them brightening up our refrigerator or an antique tin.
if you're interested in creating these, simply gather a hot glue gun, your favorite buttons, and some magnets at the craft store. putting them together is easy as pie.
my favorite little fella' is the one with multiple buttons and glitter all over it... what a little cutie, wouldn't you agree?
on another note, my husband and i are moving out of the old farmhouse this week into a smaller apartment in town. i'm excited for the move, but it made me sad tonight to be taking some of our last pictures in this home that we have grown to love so much... thank you, cumara farm, for so many exquisite moments and memories.

ReplyDeleteLydia and a little friend made some after I saw yours! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made some! I'd love to see a photo :O)
DeleteI love these! I have a question although it may be obvious... Do you cut the back loop of the button off with wire cutters off so the buttons lay flat?? And can you use more than one button per magnet?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barb! Yes, if the button has a back, then just cut it off. It's usually pretty easy to remove it. Many of my buttons didn't have backs. And yes as you can see from my photos, I did make one with a couple buttons on it, and it worked great! Happy craftin' ;o)
